The 20DS model is a true zero tailswing machine offering everything that a conventional tailswing does, while giving you the advantage of working in confined spaces and still getting the job done. The excavator tail is always within the track-width when swiveling the house 360 degrees.
The boom swings independently of the rotation of the house. The primary purpose of boom swing is for offset digging around obstacles or along foundations, walls, and forms. A secondary use is cycling in areas too narrow for cab rotation. Independent boom swing is one of the major advantages of a compact excavator over other excavation equipment.
With the variable-width chassis, the MCM 20DS offers you the possibility of choosing at any time between the exceptional stability of an extra-wide chassis of 1.3m wide and the versatility of a machine whose overall width is reduced to 990mm for those narrow openings.
Additionally, the dozer blade has two side extensions which can be fitted or removed quickly without any tools. In the narrow position, extensions are secured on supports provided on the blade arms.
Maneuver faster with the MCM 20DS two-speed travel motors. The quicker you can move on your jobsite, the faster you can complete your work. Select low range for pushing and dozing and high range for increased jobsite mobility.
A centralized grease bank makes fast, simple work of lubricating the slew bearing and slew pinion. With the large opening, it’s simple and easy to reach the well-protected grease cylinder fitting and complete track tensioning.
When operating one-way hydraulic attachments, like hydraulic breakers, the standard third-line auxiliary return system allows the hydraulic oil to flow directly back to the hydraulic tank without running through the control valves. This means less risk oil contamination, reduced back pressure, and greater overall oil flow efficiency is achieved.
